List of college resources for the Lost and Wondering! Please “like” and “share” if this was helpful 🙂
College Prowler-Great for learning what schools are out there. You can watch little videos about each school, but, warning, they’re all going to be positive.
Students Review-The low down ‘n dirty on each school. Don’t be overwhelmed by all the negative comments. Just use them to compare against each other. Another thing to keep in mind is that most people that have a bad experience want to broadcast it, while people who had a good time, may take it for granted that everyone loves their college!
Rate My Professor-When you find a school you like, you may want to check and see how great the professors really are, lol.
YouVisit-Virtual campus tours, if you’d rather not spend gas money. Or maybe a good first-look at a college before you actually visit.
The Collegeboard-The place to sign up for your SATs, practice for your SATs, and send SAT scores to colleges.
The Common App-The place to apply to colleges online.
The Common App Download Forms-The place to print out all the college application materials if you want send it via snail-mail, or if your teacher/recommender doesn’t like using the internet.
Zinch-Great place to find fun scholarships. My favorite is the weekly 3-sentence essay challenge. NOTE: some people look for scholarships before applying to college, but I say do it after you’ve applied. If colleges see that you already received scholarship money, they may be less willing to give you money.
ScholarshipPoints-Earn scholarship points by filling out surveys. The points you have, the more likely you are to win a scholarship. Free and easy.
